I hit the trails again yesterday. I did 3.6 miles with my one of my sons, half of which was uphill (from 340 ft. to 760 ft.). It wasn’t running, but we walked at a pretty good clip, and some sections of the trail that we took were pretty steep, providing the much-needed heartrate increase. The trail was marked very well, and there were lots of walkers, runners, and even a few bikers on the trail while we trod it.
Darn if I didn’t wear myself plumb out. I guess the combination of not having done anything for two months, plus still being on the mend from various and sundry miscreants of the microbial persuasion, sapped what remains of my strength. My legs today are sore.
I view this as a good thing. Progress!
